Bio

Chanya Chawla is an Economist in the Survey and Economic Intelligence Division at the Bank of Canada. Based in the Calgary Regional Office, she conducts research on key sectors of the Canadian economy and contributes to the quarterly Business Outlook Survey. Chanya holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of British Columbia. Prior to beginning her Master's, Chanya worked as a summer student in the Bank of Canada’s Real Economic Activity Division.
