Erica Genevieve Codner was appointed Regional Director at the Québec Regional Office of the Bank of Canada in April 2021. In this capacity, she is responsible for developing business relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, and identifying currency-related emerging issues and areas for growth in the region. She also supports compliance and education objectives through outreach activities that promote the mandates of both the Currency Department and the Bank of Canada.
Ms. Codner was born in Montréal, Québec. She received a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Canadian Studies from McGill University, and holds specialized certificates in project management, and the prevention of financial crime, money laundering and terrorist financing.
Ms. Codner spent 11 years working at Canada’s financial intelligence unit (FIU), FINTRAC, where she developed valuable relationships with key stakeholders such as law enforcement, financial entities and gaming authorities across the country.
