  Bank of Canada announces higher target for settlement balances to reinforce the target for the overnight rate

  Effective Monday, 22 July 2013, the Bank is increasing the target for the minimum daily level of settlement balances to $250 million, from its current level of $25 million. This measure will remain in effect until further notice.

  Bank of Canada Announces Change in Receiver General Cash Balances Auction Timeline

  The Bank of Canada announced today that as a result of the change in the publication time of policy interest rate announcements to 10:00 ET , that effective 23 January 2013, the Government of Canada bidding deadline for Receiver General Cash Balance auctions will be 10:15 ET on policy rate announcement dates.
