Bank of Canada Statement on the Nomination of Janet Yellen as Chairwoman of the Board of Governors of the United States Federal Reserve System

The Bank of Canada welcomes the nomination of Janet Yellen as the new Chairwoman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. The Bank looks forward to continuing the close working relationship it has enjoyed with Ms. Yellen and her colleagues at the Federal Reserve.

The Bank has been honoured to work with Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke for the past eight years, and we wish him every success in his future endeavours.
